In the last decade multitude of mega trends like shifting demographic patterns, changing economic and social dynamics, new technology and products, urbanisation, food and energy security and ageing populations have influenced business and economic fundamentals in many ways. Today we need an improved understanding of the linkages between these trends and society at large. Diverse population dynamics have the potential to further exacerbate inequalities, both in developing and in developed countries. Increased urbanization and depletion of natural resources will put major stress on national and local infrastructures and public finance, as well as caregiving, health and education systems.
Poverty eradication, promoting sustainable patterns of consumption and production, and protecting the natural resource base have become central to national economic policies of emerging nations. There is a need to promote the integrated and sustainable management of natural resources. Looming water and energy crisis call for closer policy, technological and managerial intervention. These and many other crisis points will need long term planning and financing to form sustainable societies in the future
We seek to engage with the stakeholders in sustainability management for meeting global sustainability development goals 2030. |
